My appeal is to the parents - and I know they care and they love us a lot - but somewhere, our dream of becoming a doctor is their dream too. There is absolutely no reason why a girl can't travel outside of India to pursue her MBBS. It was difficult for my parents to come to this decision but they were convinced because they valued my dream. Today I am pursuing my MBBS Abroad and soon enough, I will make my parents proud by becoming a good doctor!
Choosing to study MBBS Abroad was one of the best decisions I ever made. I had some challenges when I joined initially - but it is nothing that can't be resolved and honestly, a doctor's life is challenging in any case - getting a head start is worth it.

I am here - my friends are here - back in India after completing our MBBS Abroad - and we are here doing our Masters, working in hospitals, building our careers. It's simple, really. You get to study at the top most universities in the world that offer top-class facilities in countries that offer a higher standard of living. You make friends, who just like me, have left their own homes to pursue their dreams. The entire environment at my university is of students pursuing their passion. Its amazing!
I passed my FMGE in the first attempt. It was just a matter of paying attention during class and getting as much exposure during clinical rotations that gave me both the theoretical and practical knowledge I needed to clear the exam. Have fun, by all means, but do not underestimate the importance of dedicating time to your MBBS education, whether India or Abroad.

I got a CAT-B seat in India, which for one year was costing me more than my entire tuition fee for 6 years abroad. And hence I chose to pursue my MBBS outside of India. The money I am saving by doing this is going to be spent on my Masters Program - because Masters is what matters. Plan your career even before you plan for your MBBS.
If you want to be a Doctor, if MBBS is your dream - then don't give it up just because you don't secure a seat in India. I pursued my MBBS from China and I can assure you, it is no different. A doctor, from anywhere in the world, is a doctor. Don't give up. Pursue your dream.
